Foscam firmware updates
In this blog we inform you of the firmware and other updates for Foscam products. You will find the latest updates on top.
Firmware-updates are available on our downloadspage. You can find the updates by going to the Foscam model you want to update and by clicking on 'Firmware'.
Foscam VMS
For Foscam VMS we released the new version for Windows OS (v 3.12.1, 29-10-2024). In this update: Bug fixes and performance improvements.
You can download this version here. You can find the most recent version for MacOS (3.12.1) in the app store.
NVR firmware releases
Foscam released new firmware for NVRs FN9108H, FN9108HE & FN9108E (in set), version 6.2.135.140000 [15-10-2024]. Also we released firmware for Foscam NVR FNA216HE, FNA108H, FNA108HE and FNA108E (in set), version 6.1.64.140000 [15-10-2024]. Updates:
- Improved compatibility with new cameras
- Fixed the issue of abnormal audio output from some cameras
Foscam App
The latest version of Foscam app is 5.3.2 (Android and iOS). Updates for Foscam app will install automatically. iOS version is available in the appstore. This update contains:
- Optimized the interactive experience
- Fixed bugs
Foscam SD4H, SD8EP & SD8P updates
For Foscam SD4H, SD8EP & SD8P we released new system firmware (v 1.24.1.6, 26-08-2024). Updates:
- Optimize Pan&Tilt feature
Also we released new firmware for these cameras (v 2.x.1.28, dated 30-08-2024). In this firmware we increased the pan&tilt self-checking feature.
Foscam battery camera
For Foscam batterycamera B4 we released new firmware [2.171.1.124]. You can update your firmware in Foscam app/VMS. Update:

Foscam C5M
For Foscam C5M (version 2.x.1.12, date 31-07-2024) we released new firmware. Updates:
- Optimize screenshots in alarm e-mails
- Optimize OSD flashing issue
Foscam V5P, SD4H, V5EP V2 & T5EP V2 updates
For Foscam V5P, SD4H, V5EP V2 & T5EP V2 (v 2.x.1.27, dd 09-07-2024) we released new firmware. Updates:
- Optimize detection accuracy
- Optimize OSD flashing issue
Foscam V8EP/T8EP & V5EP/T5EP updates
For Foscam V8EP and T8EP we released new firmware (v 2.x.1.20, date 09-07-2024). For Foscam V5EP and T5EP we released firmware 2.x.1.22, date 17-07-2024. Updates:
- Optimize screenshots in alarm e-mails
- Optimize OSD flashing issue
Other Foscam cameras/NVRs
For Foscam G4P V2 and G4EP V2 new application software was gereleased (v 2.x.2.15, d.d. 09-07-2024). Update:
- Improve compatibility of WiFi routers
For Foscam S41, F41 and for Foscam VD1 video doorbell the following issues have been addressed in new firmware [2.x.2.39, 25-06-2024]:
- Improved wifi connection ability
- Improved security
- Optimized screenshots in alarm emails
New firmware available for Foscam 2MP cameras R2M, FI9912P, FI9912EP, R2D & D2EP [2.x.2.80, 04-06-2024]. In this update we improved security.
For Foscam cameras G4C, X3, X4, X5, R4M V5, C2M V6 & D2EP V2 [2.x.2.40, d.d. 28-05-2024] we also released new firmware. The following issues have been addressed:

For Foscam camera R4M [2.x.2.71, d.d. 24-05-2024] we released new firmware. In this update we improved security.
The latest version of Foscam app is 5.0.0 (Android and iOS). Updates for Foscam app will install automatically. iOS version is available in the appstore. This update contains:
- Added adaptation to new devices
- Bug fixes and performance improvement
For Foscam cameras G4P V2 & G4EP V2 we released new application firmware (2.x.2.14, date 17-04-2024]. The following issues have been addressed:
- Optimized snapshot feature
- Optimized RTSP stream stability
- Improved recording files retrieval speed
For Foscam cameras V5P, SD4H, V5EP V2 & T5EP V2 we released new firmware (2.x.1.24, date 17-04-2024]. Updates:
- Optimized snapshot feature
- Optimized RTSP stream stability
- Improved recording files retrieval speed
For Foscam cameras V5EP/T5EP (version 2.x.1.21, date 25-03-2024) and V8EP/T8EP (version 2.x.1.19, date 25-03-2024) we released new firmware. Updates:

New firmware available for Foscam 2MP cameras R2M, FI9912P, FI9912EP & D2EP [2.x.2.78, 28-02-2024]. Same applies for 4MP camera's R4M, G4P & G4EP [2.x.2.67, d.d. 05-03-2024] and Foscam camera's SD2, SD2X, SD4 & D4Z [2.x.2.51, d.d. 05-03-2024] Updates:
- Speed up connection
- Optimized connection stability with NVR
- Improved recording files retrieval speed
Foscam released new firmware for FN8108H & FN8108HE (version 6.2.48.140000, 15-06-2023). Updates:
- Supports more new models
- Supports to change the NVR name from Foscam VMS
- Fixed other bugs
Foscam released new firmware for FN7108W-B4 (version 6.2.45.140000, 22-03-2023). Updates:
- Supports new device V5EP and auto adding camera in setup wizard
- Supports recording downloading and recording type distinction on Foscam VMS
- Optimized camera parameter settings and adding IPC via VMS
- Fixed other bugs
For Foscam cameras D4Z V4 & SD4 V3 firmware-update 2.x.2.48 is available [d.d. 13-12-2022]. The following issues have been addressed:
- Optimized the night vision images
For Foscam cameras C2 (v2 and v3), R2 (v1, 2, 3, 4 and 5), FI9900EP (v1, 2, 3 and 4), FI9900P (V1, 2, 3 and 4), FI9901EP, FI9961EP, R4, FI9928P en R2D new application firmware is available [v 2.x.1.81, dated 28-04-2022]. Improved stability of the cloud recordings.
