Foscam firmware updates

In this blog we inform you of the firmware and other updates for Foscam products. You will find the latest updates on top.

Firmware-updates are available on our downloadspage. You can find the updates by going to the Foscam model you want to update and by clicking on 'Firmware'.

Update Foscam cameras

For Foscam cameras SD2, SD2X, SD4 and D4Z we released new firmware [2.x.2.56, dd 28-09-2026]. Also applies to G4P/G4EP and R4M (2.x.2.77, dd 28-09-2026), C2M/C2M V2 and C2M V3 [2.x.2.30, dd 28-09-2026] and C2M V5 [2.x.2.74, dd 28-09-2026]. Updates:

• Enhanced security
• Improved system stability

This update also applies to Foscam S41, F41 en VD1 [2.x.2.47, dd 28-09-2026], Foscam G4C, V4EC, X3, X4, X5, R4M V5, C2M V6 and D2EP V2  [2.x.2.47, dd 28-09-2026], Foscam R2M, FI9912P, FI9912EP, FI9900EP v6, R2 v6, R2D v2 and D2EP [2.x.2.90, dd 28-09-2026].

The Foscam cameras listed below have also received this firmware update. Check the table to see if your camera is included and to find the relevant version number:

Foscam V5P, V8P, SD4H, SD8EP, SD8P, V5EP V2, T5EP V2, D8T, D8ET, W5EP, PD5 & PD8 updates

For Foscam V5P, V8P, SD4H, SD8EP, SD8P, V5EP V2, T5EP V2, PD5, PD8, D8T, D8ET & W5EP we released new firmware (v 2.x.1.50, dd 06-07-2026). Updates:

• Optimized the positioning accuracy of the PD5&PD8 in tracking mode and eliminate dynamic following errors
• Made recordings saved to FTP include audio
• Fixed an issue with abnormal non-standard RTSP interactions

Foscam battery camera

For Foscam batterycamera BP4 and B4 we released new firmware [2.171.1.162]. You can update your firmware only in Foscam app/VMS. Update:

• Added DST setting option
• Added an option to enable/disable the camera microphone (@ Foscam B4)

Foscam R8M  & C5M update

Foscam released new firmware for Foscam R8M [2.x.1.34, 16-04-2026]. Updates:

• Recordings saved to FTP include audio now
• After auto-tracking has been enabled, R8M performs a position calibration once a day at 03:00 AM
• Optimized the notification display method for the R8M one-touch cal function

Foscam App

The latest version of Foscam app for Android and iOS is 5.3.21. Updates for Foscam app Android will install automatically. This iOS version is available in the appstore. Update contains:

• Compatible with new devices
• Optimized user experience and fixed bugs

NVR firmware releases

Foscam released new firmware for NVRs FN9108H, FN9108HE & FN9108E (in set), version 6.2.154.140000 [18-03-2026]. This also apllies to FNA216HE, FNA216H, FNA108H, FNA108HE and FNA108E (in set), version 6.1.73.140000 [18-03-2026]. Updates:

• Added a feature that displays an error prompt when the password for the IPC is incorrect while adding it to the NVR via the Foscam app (new version of the Foscam app that resolves this issue has been officially released)
• Added Hungarian

Foscam VMS

For Foscam VMS we released the new version for Windows OS (v 3.12.12). Update:

• Optimized user experience and fixed bugs.

Foscam V8EP/T8EP & V5EP/T5EP updates

For Foscam V8EP/T8EP and V5EP/T5EP we released new firmware (v 2.x.1.24, date 13-11-2025). Updates:

• Improved security
• Added support for sending alarm events via Outlook e-mail

Other Foscam updates

Foscam released new firmware for FN7108W-B4 (version 6.2.54.140000, 31-10-2025). Updates:

• Optimize the process of adding the NVR to Foscam app

Foscam released new firmware for FN8108H & FN8108HE (version 6.2.48.140000, 15-06-2023). Updates:

• Supports more new models
• Supports to change the NVR name from Foscam VMS
• Fixed other bugs
