Foscam firmware updates
In this blog we inform you of the firmware and other updates for Foscam products. You will find the latest updates on top.
Firmware-updates are available on our downloadspage. You can find the updates by going to the Foscam model you want to update and by clicking on 'Firmware'.
Foscam VMS
For Foscam VMS we released the new version for Windows OS (v 3.12.12). Update:
- Optimized user experience and fixed bugs.
You can download this version here. You can find the most recent version for MacOS in the app store.
Foscam App
The latest version of Foscam app is 5.3.17 (Android). Updates for Foscam app will install automatically. iOS version 5.3.18 is available in the appstore. This update contains:

Foscam V5P, V8P, SD4H, SD8EP, SD8P, V5EP V2, T5EP V2, W5EP & PD5 updates
For Foscam V5P, V8P, SD4H, SD8EP, SD8P, V5EP V2, T5EP V2, PD5 & W5EP (coming soon) we released new firmware (v 2.x.1.45, dd 13-11-2025). Updates:
- Added time schedule setting for Siren Trigger, Auto Tracking and Red&Blue light
- Added guard position option for PD5 camera
- Improved security
- Added support for sending alarm events via Outlook e-mail
- Added option to enable/disable the camera microphone
Foscam V8EP/T8EP & V5EP/T5EP updates
For Foscam V8EP/T8EP and V5EP/T5EP we released new firmware (v 2.x.1.24, date 13-11-2025). Updates:
- Improved security
- Added support for sending alarm events via Outlook e-mail
Foscam R8M & C5M update
Foscam released new firmware for Foscam R8M [2.x.1.30, 13-11-2025]. Updates:
- Added time schedule setting for Siren Trigger and Auto Tracking
- Added guard position option for R8M camera
- Improved security
- Added support for sending alarm events via Outlook e-mail
- Optimized the function of configuring WiFi via Bluetooth
Other Foscam cameras
For Foscam S41, F41 and for Foscam VD1 video doorbell we released new application firmware [v 2.x.2.43, 11-11-2025]. Also applies to Foscam G4P V2 and G4EP V2 [v 2.x.2.16, d.d. 11-11-2025] and D4Z V5 & SD4 V4 [v 2.x.2.14 is available [d.d. 11-11-2025]. Updates:
- Improved security
- Added support for sending alarm events via Outlook e-mail
- Added option to enable/disable the camera microphone
Other Foscam cameras
For Foscam cameras G4C, X3, X4, X5, R4M V5, C2M V6 & D2EP V2 [2.x.2.44, d.d. 07-11-2025] we also released new firmware. The following issues have been addressed:
- Improved security
- Added support for sending alarm events via Outlook e-mail
- Added option to enable/disable the camera microphone
Foscam VMS
For Foscam VMS we released the new version for Windows OS (v 3.12.10). For MacOS version 3.12.9 is available. Update in 3.12.9:
- Added compatibility for new model: W5EP
- Added support for sending alarm events via Outlook email
- Added a master switch for device audio collection on certain models
- Added alarm linkage time period settings, allowing configuration of the alarm active time slots
- Bug fixes and performance improvements.
In version 3.12.10 the compatability with Foscam PD8 was added. This model in not yet available in our range.

Other Foscam updates
Foscam released new firmware for FN7108W-B4 (version 6.2.54.140000, 31-10-2025). Updates:
- Optimize the process of adding the NVR to Foscam app
Foscam battery camera
For Foscam batterycamera BP4 we released new firmware [2.171.1.158]. You can update your firmware in Foscam app/VMS. Update:
- Added an option to enable/disable the camera microphone
- Fixed the issue where overly long device names and usernames cause reset failures.
NVR firmware releases
Foscam released new firmware for NVRs FN9108H, FN9108HE & FN9108E (in set), version 6.2.147.140000 [14-10-2025]. This also apllies to FNA216HE, FNA216H, FNA108H, FNA108HE and FNA108E (in set), version 6.1.68.140000 [14-10-2025]. Updates:
- Added DHCP server setup suggestions in the startup wizard
- Improved compatibility with W5EP camera (will arrive soon)
- Enhanced the stability of the connection between the NVR and cameras when the NVR is not connected to the network
Update other Foscam cameras
New firmware available for Foscam 2MP camera R2M [2.x.2.84, 20-02-2025]. In this update we improved security.
NVR firmware releases
Foscam released firmware for Foscam NVR FNA216HE, FNA108H, FNA108HE and FNA108E (in set), version 6.1.64.140000 [15-10-2024]. Updates:
- Improved compatibility with new cameras
- Fixed the issue of abnormal audio output from some cameras
Other Foscam cameras & NVRs
New firmware available for Foscam 2MP cameras FI9912P, FI9912EP, R2D V2 & D2EP [2.x.2.80, 04-06-2024]. In this update we improved security.
For Foscam camera R4M [2.x.2.71, d.d. 24-05-2024] we released new firmware. In this update we improved security.
New firmware available for Foscam SD2, SD2X, SD4 & D4Z [2.x.2.51, d.d. 05-03-2024] Updates:
- Speed up connection
- Optimized connection stability with NVR
- Improved recording files retrieval speed
Foscam released new firmware for FN8108H & FN8108HE (version 6.2.48.140000, 15-06-2023). Updates:
- Supports more new models
- Supports to change the NVR name from Foscam VMS
- Fixed other bugs
For Foscam cameras C2 (v2 and v3), R2 (v1, 2, 3, 4 and 5), FI9900EP (v1, 2, 3 and 4), FI9900P (V1, 2, 3 and 4), FI9901EP, FI9961EP, R4, FI9928P en R2D new application firmware is available [v 2.x.1.81, dated 28-04-2022]. Improved stability of the cloud recordings.
